Pews arrived safely

Several of you have asked if the people and pews made it back to Texas without harm.  I finally emailed Mark, and here is his response:

All went well Daniel. The trip home was quite long. Gerald and I stopped in Kokomo the first night and were thankful we went south to avoid the weather around Chicago. rain would’ve be disastrous but we were dry the whole  way.  We arrived in Haslet Wednesday evening around 11 pm and I stored the pews in my aircraft hangar on the truck until Saturday. It took us over an hour with eight guys helping to get everything off the truck and we knew we had a winner when the pews filled our new fellowship hall. There was a minor installation delay in the sanctuary since the floors were not finished.  We had some minor damage to a couple of pews but overall everything went as planned. Gerald has already set about repairing the damage. Dedication Sunday is the 26th. We are having the pews professionally installed because we want them set up correctly not to mention we are running out of time with so much to finish before dedication. Thanks to you and John looks like everything will come together next Sunday.  I’ll try to send you some pix of the pews new home…Mark

Until next time,

Dan’l
