In probably the last letter Paul wrote before he died, he told Timothy to “continue in the things you have learned and are confident about” (2 Timothy 3:14). That makes the huge assumptions that Timothy had learned the Scriptures and that he was confident in what he had learned.
I wonder how many people could say today that they are confident in the things they have learned about the Scriptures. How many Biblical truths could you confidently explain to someone who asked you about them?
We are opening a Bible Learning Center at Oak Tree Community Church because we know that people need to learn the Scriptures and become more confident in their ability to understand the Scriptures accurately. Our Learning Center will be a branch campus of Tyndale Theological Seminary and Biblical Institute of Fort Worth, Texas.
This will allow you to study the Scriptures in a structured way without having to leave everything behind to attend a traditional Bible college or seminary. Find out more about our Learning Center, then contact Angie Sanders for enrollment information.
BTW, if you’re interested, I just wrote a paper summarizing what I am confident about regarding the 11 major doctrines of the Bible. It’s definitely not everything I believe, but it’s a good summary. You can download a copy here.
